Colorado Springs Cement Siding - Protecting Homes from Serious Fire Damage

As if we needed another reason to recommend James Hardie “Hardie Board” cement siding, there is one important benefit that doesn’t a lot of publicity from the building community - it is the fire safety of fiber cement shingles. • The FLASH organization (Federal Alliance for Safe Homes) is a non-profit organization dedicated to disaster safety and preparedness.   This agency recommends using fire-resistant eaves and soffits, as well as fire-resistant masonry, fiber cement or stucco siding.
• The Colorado State Forest Service also recommends the use of noncombustible construction materials on siding and walls, specifically stone, brick and stucco materials.
